About the Speedway Energy Center

Speedway Energy Center is a 199-megawatt solar project located in Shelby County, Indiana, designed to support a more reliable and resilient electric grid. The project completed its first phase in June 2025 and is currently feeding enough energy to the grid to power thousands of Hoosier homes. 

 

Speedway Energy Center is contributing $1.6 million in new revenue to Shelby County. By creating local construction jobs, contributing to local community services, and providing affordable energy for Shelby County and beyond, Speedway Energy Center is fueling a brighter future for Indiana.
